It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Thorson of Newark, Illinois, born in Wedron, Illinois, who passed away on November 3, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonas Thorson and Gladys Thorson (Peterson); and his siblings, Grace Martin, Thordys Peggler and Jonas.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Younggren; his sons, John Thorson (Michelle) of Oak Harbor, WA, Mark Thorson (Kim Laflamme-Thorson) of Bradley, IL and Matthew Thorson of Woodridge, IL; and his siblings, Thomas Thorson (Jean) of Harding, David Thorson of Champaign, IL, Rueben Thorson (Sonya) of Rio Rancho and Phyllis Monsen (Johnny) of Burnsville, MN.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
