He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Clarence and Helen Beryl Severson (Sage); his wife Doris Marie Severson; his grandson Marine Corporal Joseph Fite; his brother Gerald Severson; his siblings-in-law, Lorraine Severson and Gerald McKanna; and his son-in-law William Hartline.
He is survived by: his children, Marcia Fite (Olin) of Round Rock, TX, Ruth Hartline of Newark and Owen Severson (Beverly) of Sheridan; his grandchildren, Jennifer Brimberry (Mark), Sarah Fite, Thomas Fite (Jeanette), Michael Fite (Emily), Emily Lewis (Kyle) of Royalton, IL., Mary Shannon (James) of Marseilles, Jeffrey Severson (Katie) of Somonauk, David Severson (Kim) of Sandwich and Jill Ashton (Dave) of Ottawa; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Andrew, Lauren, Elizabeth Brimberry, Calvin, Olivia Fite, Haley, Cole, Austin Shannon, Claire, Tripp and Kali Ashton; and his siblings, Beryl McKanna of Newark, Marilyn Regaldo (Henry) of Val Rico, FL., Wesley Severson (Loraine) of San Diego, CA, Ronald Severson (Judy) of Newark and Richard Severson (Kathy) of Newark.
