He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald E. Mayhew and Dorothy L. Mayhew (Hollowell); his siblings, Jim Mayhew and Mary of New Windsor; his brother-in-law Tom Bischoff of New Windsor; his nieces and nephews, Troy, Tara Mayhew of Viola, Lance, Ann Mayhew of Sherrard, Karissa and Ryan McDaniel of Zionsville, IN; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Maddux, Rian, Hugh and Sloane.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made the Walter "Gene" Mayhew Memorial Fund.
