She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Abner and Evelyn Miller Howe; her husband Charles Austin Lane; her brother Alan "Butch" Howe; and her granddaughter Emma Engwall.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Allen Lane (Robyn) of Edwardsville, Lisabeth Engwall (Jeff) of Sherrard, Amy Jo Lane of Palatine and Thomas Lane (Kelli) of Bethalto; her grandchildren, Kyle, Alex, Adrienne, Allison, Jordan, Brett, David and Grant; her great grandchildren, James and Charles; her sisters, Donna McCue (George) of Fairbury and Mary Jane Ludwig of Freeport; and her sisters-in-law, Georgia Howe of Sterling and Martha Ann Jones of Walnut Hill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
