He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Walsten and Margaret Diggs Walsten; his former wife Barbara Leftwich Walsten; and his brothers-in-law, Harold Schatteman and Robert Fortner.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Walsten of New Windsor; his children, Chris Walsten of Galesburg, Julie Ryan (Jim) of Alpha, Jennifer Engels (Kerry) of Burleson and Charlie Walsten (Lisa) of New Windsor; his grandchildren, Shannan, Amber, Nick, Jonathan and Samantha; and his sisters, Marian Schatteman of Alpha and Kathy Fortner of Peoria. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be left to the New Windsor Presbyterian Church or to Tri County Ambulance.
