He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Nesbitt and Elizabeth "Leash" Nesbitt (Peters); his siblings, Alida Lowry, Jack Nesbitt and Patty Bennet; his brother-in-law Billy Smith; and his nephew Willy Ashby.
He is survived by: his wife Lin Griffin; his children, George Nesbitt Jr. (Donna) and Wendy Seemann (Mike); his grandchildren, Jon Nesbitt (Anne), Jessica Banks (Terrance), Brianne Seemann and Halle Irwin (Seth); his great grandchildren, Zoey, Damien, Abbi, Uriah, Mila, Fynn, Isiella and Miles; his sisters, Jeanette Smith, Carol Williamson (Larry) and Sherrie Benson (Don); his brother-in-law Dwayne Lowry; and his cousin Frank Hoteling.
