It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Tarree Hosey Jr. in New Lenox, Illinois, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tarree Hosey Sr. and Hazel Gavin-Hosey; his brother Cameron Hosey; and his brother-in-law Henry Albert Fairley. He is survived by: his daughter Shannon E. Hosey (James Williams); his stepson Desmond Green; his grandchildren, Mariah Hosey, Lola Green, James Williams III and Olivia Williams; his siblings, Fredia, Geraldine Stilwell (Tim), Mark Hosey (Mary), John Patrick Hosey and Stephanie Moffett; his niece Dailey A. Moffett; and his close friend Solita Green-Hosey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church (1710 Carey St, Joliet, IL 60433). A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
