He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Patterson and Etta M. Patterson; his son Rick Dempsey; his siblings, Joe Patterson (late Grace), Mel Patterson (late Alice) and Dorothy Benda (Steve); and his brother-in-law Bob Alvers (Joan).
He is survived by: his wife Lynne Patterson; his children, Chris Sherri (Sarah Olson) and Chuck Dempsey (Lori); his daughter-in-law Mary Kay Hrdina (Jim); his grandchildren, Megan, Ricky Patterson, Jake, Kylie Pietranczyk, Jackson, Nathan and Charlie Dempsey; and his siblings-in-law, Melanie Knaack (John) and Ken Alvers (Kathy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lee's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans would be appreciated.
