She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Jenkins and Margaret Jenkins; her stepfather Edward Stumpf; and her brother Robert Stumpf (late Joan). She is survived by: her husband Edward Meilner; her daughters, Cheryl Cryer Jr. (William), Debra Cryer (Mark), Cathy Irvin (John) and Sandra Sutton (Earl); and her grandchildren, Christina McReynolds (Robert), Nicholas Cryer (Stephanie), William Cryer (Tammie), Brooke Evans (Robert), Nicole McDaniel (Craig), Maxwell Stegner (Hannah), Samantha Schedler (Brendan) and Alexandra Sutton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Phyllis' name to American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association, Apex Hospice of Lemont, Lightways Hospice of Joliet, or Phi Beta Psi Sorority (Raising Money for Cancer Research) would be appreciated.
