He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McNicholas and Mary McNicholas; his wife Mary Denise McNicholas; and his siblings, Mary "Josie" Brody (late Michael), John McNicholas (Nora "Carmel"), William McNicholas, Catherine "Kitty" Haegeland (late Ole) and Anthony "Tony" McNicholas.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Mary Brizich Sweeney, James Sweeney, Kevin Sweeney and Patrick Sweeney (Colleen); and his grandchildren, Patrick, Mary (John), Jennifer, Kathleen, Seamus, Eileen, Liam, Briana and Quinn Sweeney.
