We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2023, at the age of 79, Mary Ruth McGurk (New Lenox, Illinois), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Saylor and Mary Saylor; her husband Tom; and also Evelyn Schroeder. She is survived by: her daughter Evelyn (Lisa Downey); her grandchildren, Tom and Katie Downey-McGurk; and her siblings, Barbara Rodgers (Robert), Janice Saylor, Laurel Carey and William Saylor. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers or cards, donations made to the Greater Chicago Food Depository (a long-time beneficiary of Ruth's generosity) would be appreciated.
