She was predeceased by: her spouse Clarence DeGroot Jr; and her sibling Dave (Peggy). She is survived by: her children, Chuck DeGroot (Debbie), Rick DeGroot (Annette), Michele Rosenfeld (Mark), Mike DeGroot (Stacey) and Mary Danielle DeGroot-Gonzalez (Joe); her grandchildren, Brad, Aubrey, Chad, Marissa, Michael, Haley, Olivia, Max, Miles, Ellie, Ross and Mitchell; her sibling Paul (Karen); and her sibling-in-law James DeGroot (Linda).

In lieu of flowers memorials, in Mary's name to New Life Church or University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
