It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louie G. Ortiz of New Lenox, Illinois, born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on July 21, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ortiz and Isabel Ortiz; and his siblings, Floyd Ortiz, Maria Ortiz Ayala Robledo, Antonia Jaurequi, Mercedes Villagomez, Arabella Arriaga and Candelaria Ortiz.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Ortiz; his sons, Frank Ortiz, Daniel Ortiz, Ron Ortiz and Richard Ortiz; his stepchildren, Linda Morrell (Ned), Christine Rodriguez, Theresa Rodriguez, Cyndy McRaven (Bruce), Ronald Rodriguez, David Rodriguez (Laurie), Rey Rodriguez (Evon), Diana Dobczyk (Gregg) and Ana Lockwood (Scott); his nieces, Alicejean Escamilla, Rosemary Villagomez, Shirley Laguna, Isabelle Lehrman and Hilda Laura Escamilla; and his friend Louie. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
