He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bednar and Selma Bednar; his wife Diane Bednar; his daughter Kimberlee; and his sister Mary Kay Buhmann.
He is survived by: his daughters, Terri Ward (Mike) and Jennie Richards (Dave); his grandchildren, Calley Grogan (Brad), Jessica Nowak (Mike), Mallory Olson, Alexandra Doherty (Matt), Jake Breit, Megan Kowalski (Easton), Michael Ward (Deana), Matthew Ward (Alyssa), Zachary Richards (Mayara) and Mark Richards; and his siblings, John Bednar (Melinda), Cheryl Sandefur (Ron), Dennis Bednar (Joan) and James Bednar (Nancy Ortiz).
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (102 East Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451). A prayer will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (19515 115th Ave, Mokena, IL 60448). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery (19515 115th Ave, Mokena, IL 60448).
