He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel and Louise; his wife Sue Ellen; and his siblings, Emma Gotch (late John), Helen Mikolajczyk (late John), Laura Scott (late Glenn), Lester Smith (late Mary), Alvin Smith (late Darlene), Darlene Decker (late Don), Gertrude Smith and Elmer Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Karl Smith, Paul Smith (Peggy), Amy Ryan (Nathan) and Rick Smith (Denise Issert); his grandsons, Joshua and Luke Ryan; and his sisters, Edna Allain (late Jerry) and Doris Belluso (late Ron). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
