He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackston Sr. Ellis and Julia Ellis (Thornton); his brothers, Jackston Jr. Ellis (late Zelda) and William "Bill" Ellis; and his brother-in-law Clint Buchholz.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ellis (Otis); his son David Ellis (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Rachel, Samuel, Matthew and Jared Ellis; his sister Louise "Lou" Voight (late Earl); and his sisters-in-law, Lois Ellis, Debra Rael (Ricardo) and Donna Buchholz. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
