He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert M. Barnas and Helen Barnas (Potocki); his brothers, Julius Barnas (late Jane), Chester Barnas and Robert Barnas (late Elizabeth); and his nephew James Barnas.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Jerome Barnas (Marlene), Joyce Kappel (Glen), John Barnas (Mary), Jeffrey Barnas, Julie Bulow (William), Brian Barnas (Joyce) and Nadine Roggeman (Peter); and his niece-in-law Mary Barnas.
