Lee R. Simmons Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lee R. Simmons of New Burnside, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 14, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Simmons and Violet Simmons (Slankard); his wife Naomi C. Toler; his children, Mike Simmons, Carol Ward and Susan Broski; his brothers, Tommy, Harry and Sam Simmons; his half-brother Charlie; and his sister Brooksie Estes Turner.
He is survived by: his son Greg Simmons (Loann); his grandchildren, Austin, Forrest, Justin, Jason, Jordan, Neil, Jeff Simmons, Eric and Danny Estep; and his half-sister Rosemary Hight (Larry). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; plus many great great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Burnside Municipal Cemetery (W 2nd St, New Burnside, IL 62967).
