It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Portia Carle of New Boston, Illinois, who passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vaughn Powell and Helen Powell (Downey); her son Lance Shepard; her siblings, Vaughn "Windy" Powell, Helen Berry and Sandra Spray; and her stepchildren, Randy Carle and Cindy Bjortvedt.
She is survived by: her daughter Amanda Shepard; her daughter-in-law Trudi Shepard; her grandchildren, Stormi Stumbo, Zack Stumbo (Bree), Becca Turner (Dale), Caitlin Hruby (Brad), Blake Shepard, Dylan Shepard and Adriana Stumbo; and her stepson Mike Carle. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
