He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Schubert and Mabel Schubert (Brunner); his son Gerald J. Schubert, Jr.; and his siblings, Leroy, Wayne Schubert, Maxine Labar, LaVonne Rockow and Gayle Yenney.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherryl Charles (David) of Rockford and Shelley Comeau (Raymond) of Mt. Carroll; his granddaughters, Monica Aponte (Hector), Natalie Comeau and Mallory Moser (Noah); his great grandchildren, Maverick Moser and Dominic Aponte (DJ); and his friend John Haskins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Schubert Family for a memorial to be established.
