He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron "Pete" Mendenhall and Viola "Vi" Wilson Mendenhall. He is survived by: his siblings, Pat Hinds (Roy) of Athens, Myron Mendenhall (Michele) of Buffalo, Russ Mendenhall (Peggy) of Chatham, Kenny Mendenhall (Joy) of Springfield, Diana Beaty (Larry) of Rochester and Becky Mendenhall of New Berlin. He is also survived by two aunts; one uncle; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
