With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jim Eck of New Berlin, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 29, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerick B. Eck and Elizabeth Moore Eck; his wife Elizabeth Charlene Votsmier; and his siblings, Frank, George Eck and Sharon Fulton.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Eck of Godfrey, IL, Bev Tucker (Brad) of Colorado Springs, CO, Tom Eck of Dallas, TX and Bonnie Heitz of Rushville; his grandchildren, Cole Heitz (Alaina) of Rushville, Andrew Heitz (Kayla) of Bloomington, Ashley Tucker (Jeremy Langston) of Colorado Springs, CO and Brent Tucker (Jade Hidalgo) of Colorado Springs, CO; his great grandchildren, Lily, Lucy Heitz, Hailey, Zoey Tucker and Stella Heitz; his brother Bob Eck (Lola) of New Berlin; and his sister-in-law Gail Eck of Alexander. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
