She was predeceased by: her husband Jose Cardoso Pinheiro; and her parents, Jose Serpa and Ana Inacia Serpa. She is survived by: her son John C. Pinheiro (Emily); her grandson Victor C. Pinheiro (Maria); and her great grandchildren, Victoria Pinheiro (Justin) and Mia Pinheiro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations are kindly asked to be made to The Azorean Maritime Heritage Society Scholarship Fund.
