He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Rose and Matilda Rose (Pires); and his siblings, Betty, Patricia, Marcia, Ronald, Peter, David and Wayne.

He is survived by: his wife Melody Ann Rose (DeBarros); and his children, Robert A. Rose, Jr. of Marion, Scott DeBarros of New Bedford and Melinda Rose of New Bedford. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
