She is survived by: her parent Margarida Araujo (Da Ponte); her husband Virginio; her children, Jose Borges (Maria), Maria Fatima Borges-Iria (Paulo), Robert Borges (Carla) and Elisabeth DaSilva (Rick); her daughter-in-law Julietta Borges; her son Sergio Borges; her grandchildren, Jason, Joseph, Amy, Maegan, Ethan and Monica; and her siblings, Joao, Manuel, Gil and Jose Araujo.
