It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Manuel P. Gomes (New Bedford, Illinois), who passed away on July 8, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his spouse Geraldine A. Gomes (Pemberton); his parent Joaquim P.; his child Alan Gomes; and his sibling Belford Gomes. He is survived by: his parent Mary F. Gomes (Freitas); his children, Mark Gomes of Westport, Erleen Duarte of New Bedford and Cheryl Gomes of Fall River; his sisters, Amelia Lopes of Connecticut and Shirley Pina of New Bedford; his child Brian Gomes; and his siblings, Alice Poirier, John Gomes, Antone "Toy" Gomes, Albert Gomes, Delores Gomes and Dorothy Dolak. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
