He is survived by: his parent Maria Benevides; his children, Cidalia Cabral of New Bedford, Gabriel Benevides of Portugal and Sergio Benevides of Canada; his siblings, Augustinho Benevides of Canada, Suzanne Duarte of Canada and Salomé Cardoza of Canada; and also Conceicao Benevides (Mota). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
