He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Bitterberg and Emma Ida Bitterberg (Rudolph); and his sister Ruth Bitterberg.

Memorials may be made to St. Peters United Church of Christ in Okawville or to the charity of the donor's choice and will be received at the funeral home.
