She was predeceased by: her parents, William Walters and Mabel Walters (Hinson); her husband Norman Mitchell; her stepmother Molly Walters; and her grandson Eric Wilken.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Wilken (Eugene) of New Baden and Susan Sommers (Bob) of New Baden; her grandchildren, Jennifer Yukna (Nathan) of Trenton, Robert Sommers (Tiffany) of New Baden, Rachel Cronin (Tim) of Mascoutah, Christine Hearst of New Baden and Diane Reed (Sean) of Olathe, Kansas.; and her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Eli, Ethan Yukna, Mallory, Avery Sommers, Grey, Amelia and Samuel Cronin.
In lieu of flowers and other gifts, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.
