He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold T. and Viola D.; and his siblings, Harold T. Nelson, Jr., Dorothy Kueker and Wilberta Nelson Krug.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Nelson (Alexandria) of Ellis Grove, IL, Ted Dodson (Kathy) of Witt, IL, Dale Dodson of Mt. Olive, IL and Trena Statler (Keith) of Hillsboro, IL; his grandchildren, Jada, Dani and Rhett; and his sister Kathleen Mattern (Tom) of Belleville, IL. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
