He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul D. Mathews and Virginia M. Mathews. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Mathews; his children, R. Douglas, Natalie Mathews of Rome, GA, Lisa, Don Harris of Flora, IL, Scott Anthony and Jan Mathews; and his brother Jimmie K. Mathews.
