He was predeceased by: his brothers, Bill Joyce, John Joyce and Ronald Collins. He is survived by: his son Gerald David Joyce III (Amanda) of Fairview Heights; his grandchildren, Liam, Athena, Kailee, Kaden, Callen and Adalynn; and his siblings, Kevin Joyce and Margie Gallagher (Jim).

Memorials may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis and will be received at the funeral home.
