With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward J Karpel of New Baden, Illinois, who passed away on March 18, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edward J Karpel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jacquelyn "Jackie"; his father Frank (Laurinda); his siblings, Robert Karpel (Lucille) and Ruth Wilhelm (Ralph); and his siblings-in-law, Gordon Kehrer and Beverly Przygoda (Joseph).
He is survived by: his sons, Danial Karpel (Jo Ann) of Collinsville, IL and Donald Karpel (Angela) of Mascoutah, IL; his grandchildren, Brandon, Dana (Cole Diercks), Ryan and Brittany; and his sister-in-law Cindy Kehrer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Calendar Moll Funeral Home (34 W Main St, Mascoutah, IL 62258). A prayer will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calendar St. George Catholic Church (200 N 3rd St, New Baden, IL 62265).
In lieu of all other gifts, memorials may be made to Resurrection Cemetery, New Baden, IL and Mascoutah Senior Center.
