He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cahoon and Evelyn Cahoon (Onash); his wife Betty L Herzog; his siblings, Jerry, Marlin, Carlisle, Ray Cahoon, Ruth Sumler, Evelyn Marie Carle, Gracie Cahoon and Dicy "Rose" Korves; his stepsister Ellen Johnson; and his stepdaughter Karen Ferguson.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Winklemann (Mike) of New Athens, IL, Robert Cahoon (Mandy) of Perryville, MO, Joe Cahoon (Alexis) of Steeleville, IL, Anthony Cahoon (Vanessa) of Prairietown, LA and Bobbiejo Perry of Arnold, MO.; his siblings, Roger Cahoon (Heny) of Frohna, MO, Clifford Cahoon (Karen) of Murphysboro, IL and Sandy Girard of Millstadt, IL; his sister-in-law Rosemary Cahoon of Ava, MO; his stepchildren, Debbie Winklemann of New Athens, IL and David Dotson (Henrietta) of Dover, TN; and his grandchildren, Lexie, Hailey, Isaac, Mason, Eli, Bregan, Lane, Larissa and Shantelle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
