Mildred A. Reuss Obituary
We bid farewell to Mildred A. Reuss of New Athens, Illinois, born in Du Quoin, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 6, 2025 at the age of 96. Mildred touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Mildred may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mildred touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Don Harriss and Senora Harriss (Hagen); her husband Floyd Reuss; and her siblings, Cleo and Edward Harriss.
She is survived by: her children, Robert "Bob" Reuss (Susan) of O'Fallon, IL, Don Reuss (Dana) of West Frankfort, IL, Geralinda "Geri" Reuss of St. Louis, MO and Judy Juenger (David) of New Athens, IL.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Agatha Catholic Church (549 Mill St, New Athens, IL 62264). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Agatha Catholic Church or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
