He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Brooks and Janet Brooks. He is survived by: his close friend Julie Wilderman; his children, Casey, Tyson and Carter; his brother Wesley Brooks (Tiffany); his mother-in-law Patricia Wilderman; his aunts, Doris Edwards, Brenda Ledett and Deloris Edwards; and his niece Jada Holloway. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
