He was predeceased by: his wife Clarice Warden (Callahan); his parents, William Warden and Helen Warden (Geller); his daughter Karla Thies; his grandson Bryan McBride; and his sisters, Virginia Modglin and Dorothy Kramer.
He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Schanuel (Michael) of New Athens, IL; his siblings, L. R. "Pete" Warden of New Athens, IL and Geraldine Delehanty (Herbert) of St. Charles, MO; his granddaughter Nicole Schwahn (Jeff); his great grandchild Bryanne McBride; and his nieces and nephews, Carol Rocca (Gary) of Cadiz, KY, Joseph Delehanty, Nancy Hoffman (David), Marian Davis (Gerry), Sherry Kramer, Fred Keck (Brenda), Clinton Keck (Carla) and Steve Yawites (Judy).
In lieu of flowers, the family urges that donations in Leonard's honor be made to the Belleville Humane Society, St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens, IL or to the donor's choice.
