Gerald D. Luter Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald D. Luter Sr. of New Athens, Illinois, who passed away on February 17, 2022 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow J. Luter and Lucille E. Luter (Ballard); and his wife Vickie Sue Lischer. He is survived by: his children, Gerald D. "Noot" Luter, Jr. of Dupo, IL, Ryan K. Luter (Stacie) of Waterloo, IL and Kami L. Luter of Columbia, IL; his stepson Marc C. Maurer (Janice) of New Athens, IL; his brothers, Thomas R. Luter of Cahokia, IL and Douglas W. Luter (Stephanie) of Cahokia, IL; and his grandchildren, Kayla Luter, Jocelyn Luter, Kayleigh Luter, Jackson Luter and Deric J. Maurer.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry's honor are encouraged to be made to the New Athens Home for the Aged which was a cause both he and Vickie were very passionate about.
