He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Spalt and Katherine Spalt of New Athens, Illinois.; his wife Stella Spalt of Kirkwood, MO; his daughter Gretchen Spalt of Weybridge, England; his grandchildren, Chelsea Spalt Baker (Nathan), Holly Spalt, Katie Hastings and Trevor Hastings; and his siblings, Lee Spalt (Ellen), Erna Spalt Garber (John), Allen Spalt (Jean) and Dale Spalt (Pat).
