He was predeceased by: his wife Joan K. Brenner; his father Clayton "Bud" (Sylvia); and his sister Evonna Beard. He is survived by: his children, Kelli Gonzales (Andrew), Anthony Brenner (Clarisse), Kathleen Hiske (Dale), Linda Szabo (Tom) and Ruth Jones (Mike). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren;and two great-grandchildren.
