He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Lewis and Eva Sarah Kelly (Fawcett); his parents-in-law, Harold Brown and Margaret Brown Richison; his sister Patricia "Pat" Addis; his son-in-law Terry Stone; and his granddaughter-in-law Tammi Baughman.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean Brown; his children, Terri Stone of Kewanee, Todd Kelly (Jennifer) of Normal, IL and Troy Kelly (Coessa Rusk) of Kewanee; his sister Dorothy "Dot" Johnson (John) of Kewanee; and his grandchildren, Zachary Zarley, Ryne Kelly, Nicole Zarley, Theresa Calhoun, April Baughman, Emily, Rebecca Kelly, Angie O'Connor, Brian Dexter, Thalia Padilla and Eliana Rusk. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Ivan Kelly Memorial Fund for a memorial to be established.

“I'm saddened to learn about your loss. Ivan loved his family -especially Mary Jean- very much. Years ago, Ivan was a good friend to me and introduced me to his beloved bride and his family. He loved sharing their garden's harvest with others. He loved music and lyrics and sharing them with friends. His smile made any day brighter.
