We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2024, at the age of 84, Elmer W. Guthrie of Neponset, Illinois, born in Kewanee, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Guthrie and Lula Guthrie (Bates). He is survived by: his children, Shyla Lipsey (Tim) of East Peoria, Cheryl McKinney (Angus) of Antelope, CA, Chelese Palmer (Chris) of Sterling, IL. and Ryan Guthrie; and his grandchildren, Skye Smith, Shaelyn Traeger (Peter), Summer Smith, Elaina Swanson, Gabriel Swanson, Hannah Grace Swanson, Kaylen Zarembski (Nathaniel), Micah Palmer (Monica), Maryn Palmer, Danae Palmer, Leah Guthrie and Olivia Guthrie. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to an agriculture scholarship that will be established in his name.
