It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Joe VanScyoc of Neoga, Illinois, born in Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Lawhorn and Rosalee Alice Lawhorn (Scott); her husband Donald E. VanScyoc; her stepmother Vola Ernistine Hodegs; her son Ronald VanScyoc; and her siblings, Wallace Eugene Scott, Larry Lawhorn and Virginia Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Chester VanScyoc (Kathy), Deborah Farr (Bruce), Vola Haney (Roy), Becky Cowger (Stanley) and Lori Stone. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.
