With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Eileen McMechan of Neoga, Illinois, who passed away on February 20, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy T. Bridges and Josie Bridges (Osborn); her husbands, Richard Douglas and Bob McMechan; her daughter Ina Jo Douglas; her siblings, Don Bridges, Bob Bridges and Helen Standerfer; and her great great grandchild Paisley.
She is survived by: her children, William "Bill" Douglas (Shirley) of Neoga, Illinois and Sue Romack (Norm) of Neoga, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Bill Douglas, Jr., Christie Stuff of Neoga, Jodi Welch of Bloomington, Jay Romack (Leslie) of Neoga, Paul Romack (Misty) of Neoga and Annie Jones (Harley) of Aurora, Illinois. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Kidney Foundation in memory of Ina Jo Douglas or Free Methodist Church in Neoga, Illinois.
