He is survived by: his wife Barbara Apke of Neoga, Illinois; his children, Matthew Apke of Tuscola, Nicole Apke of Central, Troy Apke (Anna) of Hillsboro, Robert Apke (Aimee) of Arthur, Ryan Apke (Stacey) of Sullivan, Jenna Allen (Neil) of Windsor, Nathan Apke (Amber) of Toledo and Jamie Apke of Neoga, Illinois; and his siblings, Gary Apke (Lori) of Effingham, Illinois, Carolyn Lamb of Montrose, Mary Doedtman (Gary) of Effingham and Pauline Burgener (Bill) of Dundas, Illinois. He is also survived by twenty six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
