She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Ruholl and Mary Ruholl (Rieman); her husband Walter R. Koester; and her children, Rick Koester and LeAnn Niemerg.
She is survived by: her children, Dean (Mary) of Effingham, Gary (Amy) of Sigel, David (Jenny) of Effingham and Janice Dust (Dick) of Effingham; and her son-in-law Jerry Niemerg of Dieterich. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild.
