We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2023, at the age of 71, Gena Murphy of Neoga, Illinois, born in Mattoon, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gena Murphy to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Geno Bernardini and Reba Bernardini (Gentry); her husband Carl Murphy Jr.; and her sister Sandi Sewell. She is survived by: her close friend Ray Wayne of Neoga, IL; her children, Veronica Davis (John) of Mattoon, IL, Kevin Murphy (Genette) of McClainsboro, IL, Scott Wayne, Jenny Wayne, Renee Vespa and Robin Kindernay; and her sister Sharron. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations in her honor may be given to the American Legion Auxiliary.
