He is survived by: his sons, Craig Koester (Lisa) of Mattoon, Brett Koester (Janet) of St. Charles and Wayne Koester (Jo) of Nashville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Abby, Nathan, Jamie, Baelyn, Emelia, Londyn and Kai; and his siblings, Joe Koester (Janet) of Ohio, Terry Koester of Effingham, Karen Huff of Lincoln and Mary Slifer (Paul) of Shumway, Illinois..
