He is survived by: his sons, Brian Abel of Neoga and Todd Abel (Erin) of Springfield, Illinois; his grandchildren, Alexis, Gavin, Claire and Katelyn Abel; and his sister-in-law Nancy Abel of Gulf Shores, Alabama..
