He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph and Amy Kirk (Adams); his wife Christy Kirk; his half-brother Jim Epley; and his sister Betty Johnson.

He is survived by: his children, Steve Kirk (Terri) of Westerville and Tina Frailey (Duane) of Neoga, Illinois; his half-brother John Epley (Judy) of Armstrong, Illinois; his grandchildren, Steven Kirk, Nikki Kirk, Danielle Kirk, Anna Frailey and Amy Frailey; his great grandchildren, Shane Molter, Hailey Hyland, Kailey Hyland and Kinsley Kirk; and his close friends, Denny Easton of Neoga, Illinois., Lena Peters of Neoga, Illinois. and Paul Frailey of Neoga, Illinois..
